Door on front opens and some small items could be kept there. The compatment is lined with a deep green material that looks like crushed velvet to me but not sure what the actual material is.
Clock requires 1 AA battery (not included)
No box
I consider to be in very good preowned condition.
I did note a couple scratches to the finish on the back (see last photo)
