Kinkade Limited Edition Print-"Wrigley Field:Memories and Dreams 39x27"
SOLD $399.00 Sold: Jul 7, 2023 on eBayOriginal Listing Description
Up for sale is a limited edition and numbered print by Thomas Kinkade Studio, titled "Wrigley Field: Memories and Dreams." We own a picture framing shop in the Chicago Loop. In 2014, we were invited by one of our major moulding suppliers, Larson-Juhl, to participate in the joint marketing event they were staging with the Thomas Kinkade Studio, over at Harry Caray's restaurant in the Chicago River North area. Among the guests there was the Baseball Hall of Fame Cub great, Ernie Banks, and the late Harry Caray's wife, Dutchie. The print, in question, is the Wrigley Field nostalgia print. The scene, in the print, takes place on Opening Day at Wrigley, the season after the Cubs won the National League Pennant in 1945. The team is shown lined up for a group photo. All the bystanders and fans are gathering to view this event, and you can tell by the old cars and street car/trolleys that this is part of another era. Interestingly, the artist has placed a young sportscaster, Harry Caray, in a blue sweater, to the right of the scene. In the lower, right, corner is the serial number of each print. Accompanying each print is a certificate of authenticity. Kinkade produced 3 different sizes of this print. This one is 39" x 27"overall, with the image being 36 x 24". It carries the "Standard Number" #3/595. That is, it is the 3rd print in a series of 595 prints made. We thought we had sold all these prints years ago, but we came across a stash of one of each of the three sizes, in original mint condition, in a drawer in our shop that held some other prints. This one has a few tiny wrinkles in the upper right white border but is, otherwise, in mint condition. We would like to find these prints a good home with a loyal Cubs Fan or a collector of Kinkade artwork. Shipping is free to anywhere in the continental USA. Please ask any questions before purchasing, as this is a clearance item and is not returnable. Thank you for looking at our rare offering! (Condition: Brand New)
Note: This item has been sold and is no longer available. This page serves as a historical price reference for Kinkade collectors and appraisers.
