This set of 20 figurines is from the now discontinued Hawthorne Village "Elegant Blessings Nativity" by Thomas Kinkade. According to the Certificate of Authenticity the pieces are handcrafted and hand painted. Each piece is numbered. The set was made in 2009. This "Blessings of Christmas" Gallery of Light box by the late Thomas Kinkade was created in 3D by renowned miniature artist, Robert Olszewski in 2008 for Enesco. It depicts a snowy scene with a snowman and a quaint cottage in the foreground of this stunning seasonal vignette. Resonating with the joy of the Christmas season, Thomas Kinkade's artwork was inspired by another of his favorite pieces, "Home Is Where The Heart Is II." The Victorian cottage is now in its evergreen bower, but now in the snowy grip of winter. According to Mr. Kinkade: "Somehow, the warmth of family life lived in this cozy dwelling is accentuated by the shroud of snow that sits so gracefully on the trees. The cheerful snowman wrapped in his red scarf and wielding a straw broom embodies the very spirit of the season Although an Open Edition, reportedly only 150 of these special light boxes were released before Olszewski terminated his contract with Enesco. The beautiful gold frame has a leaf on the lower right that is the light switch for the LED light. The light should not burn out unless left on 24 hours, 7 days a week for 3-1/2 years. 2011 Thomas Kinkade Blessings Of The Season Masterpiece Angel Bradford Exchange. Absolutely gorgeous item, in excellent condition! It plays a medley of eight Christmas songs, as it turns around. You can also have the music turned off. It also has the houses light up. I no longer have a mantel to put this on, so it needs to go off to its new home!
